Spam & hacked email — common questions
How do I know if my email has been hacked?
Common signs: friends get emails you didn't send, replies arrive to messages you never wrote, your password suddenly stops working, or emails disappear before you see them. If any of those are happening, call us the same day.
Can you stop spam completely?
No one can stop every junk email, but we can cut it right down: proper junk filters, the worst senders blocked, and unsubscribing from the lists that are safe to leave. Most people see a big difference the same day.
How much does it cost?
It falls in our Software & setup range of $80 to $180, and you get the exact price before we start. Diagnosis is free and there is no call-out fee.
Can this be done remotely?
Often, yes. If the computer itself might have malware on it, or you'd rather someone sat with you, we come to you anywhere across Melbourne's south-east.
Will I lose my emails?
No. Securing an account doesn't delete your mail. If a scammer set up rules that moved or deleted messages, we look for them and recover what can be recovered.
