Diagnosis before quoting, every time
The reason we can give you a fixed price is that we find the fault first. Nearly every repair starts with the same twenty minutes: drive health checked against the manufacturer's own error counters, a look at which resource is actually saturated under real use, temperatures under load, and what is running that should not be.
It is unglamorous, and it is what separates a repair that works from the pattern everybody has experienced — a fix that does not fix it, followed by a second opinion that does.

The most common job we do
By a wide margin it is replacing a mechanical hard drive with an SSD. If a computer takes minutes to reach a usable desktop, it is nearly always waiting on its drive rather than its processor — and a machine up to about seven years old is transformed by the change. When we tell you not to bother
Repairs stop making sense when faults stack. A failing drive on an otherwise sound laptop is worth fixing. A failing drive plus a swollen battery plus a cracked hinge is not — the total approaches a replacement and you still have an old screen.
We will say so plainly rather than quoting for it, and we are happy to say what to buy instead even though there is nothing in it for us.

How long does a computer repair take?
Most finish in a single visit. We carry screens, SSDs, batteries and power supplies, so the common repairs are same-day. Anything needing a part ordered in, or a long data transfer, we take away and return.
Do you come to me or do I bring it in?
We come to you — we are a mobile service and most work is done onsite at your kitchen table. If a job needs the bench we take the machine and bring it back.
What if you cannot fix it?
You pay nothing, diagnosis included. We will also tell you honestly when a repair is not economical rather than quoting for one you should not buy.
Do you work on Macs?
Yes — software faults, macOS reinstalls, storage upgrades where the hardware allows, data recovery and diagnosis. Anything needing Apple-only parts or board-level work on recent models we tell you up front.
