What we collect

When you book a repair or send a message we collect your name, phone number, email address (if you give one), suburb and the description of the fault. That is all we ask for, and all of it is used to do the job.

Why we collect it

To contact you about the booking, attend the right address, and keep a record of work performed for warranty purposes. We do not sell it, share it with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list.

How long we keep it

Booking records are kept for two years so warranty claims can be verified, then deleted. You can ask us to delete yours sooner by emailing support@rapidtechsolutions.au.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics and Google Ads to count visits, see which pages are useful and measure whether our ads bring in enquiries. They set cookies when you visit unless you tap Decline on the cookie banner, which turns them off on that device. We never sell your data.

We also use Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking (UET) on public pages to measure visits, accepted forms and contact-button taps. Microsoft receives standard browser and advertising data, including page and referrer URLs, IP address, cookie identifiers and Microsoft ad click identifiers where available. Microsoft may use this data to provide and improve advertising services; see the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Our custom events contain only the event type and a fixed form or contact category, never your name, phone number, email address, message, repair details or payment amount. Microsoft tracking does not load if you have already declined measurement. Decline stops our custom events and tells a tracker already loaded on the page to deny advertising storage; Microsoft may still receive cookieless consent signals. No Microsoft tracking script loads on later pages while measurement remains declined.

While measurement is enabled, a first-party cookie lasting up to 30 minutes remembers a broad channel such as Google Ads, our Business Profile or organic search. This channel hint is saved with an enquiry to help compare enquiries with completed work. This cookie contains no contact details, full URLs or advertising click identifiers. Decline removes it. Channel hints can be incomplete and are kept with the booking record described above.

We also keep a private technical status with a saved enquiry, such as measurement declined, event queued, tag initialized or tag callback observed, with timestamps. This helps diagnose missing measurement without sending your contact details or fault description to advertising platforms. A technical status is not proof of an advertising conversion.

Data on your devices

During a repair we may see files on your computer. We do not copy, retain or look through anything beyond what the job requires, and any temporary copy made during data recovery is destroyed once the data is returned to you.
